In a conversation with a friend, I realized that we were using the names Jack Bauer and CTU interchangeably. Without realizing the obvious initially, we finally came to this conclusion: Jack Bauer *is* CTU. After all, can you imagine CTU being able to operate at all without Jack?Imagine this dialogue:
Chloe: Sam, I haven't be very productive lately. I don't know why.
Sam: Chloe, this is normal. CTU efficiency drops below 20% between 24 seasons, because Jack is not here.
Chloe: Darn! How much longer do I have to wait till next season?
Aside: I like to call Lynn Sam, for obvious reasons.
